If we could have a lifetime wish
and one dream that could come true
we would pray to God, with all out hearts
just to speak to you .
A thousand words wont bring you back
we know because we`ve tried and neither will a million tears
we know because we`ve cried
you`ve left behind our broken hearts
and precious memories too.
But we`ve never wanted memories
we only wanted you.

Those we love don't go away
they walk beside us everyday
unseen, unheard but always near
still loved, still missed
but very dear.
You can shed a tear that their gone.
or you can smile because they lived,
your heart can be empty because you can't see them.
or it can be full of the love you shared.
You can remember them, not only because, they had gone
but cherish their memory and let it live on
You can cry and close your mind,
be empty, and turn your back or you can do what they would want
smile, open your eyes, love and go on.

"I'll lend you for a little while
A child of mine," God said,
"For you to have the while he lives,
And mourn for when he's dead.
It may be six or seven years
Or twenty-two or three;
But will you 'till I call him back
Take care of him for me?
He'll bring his charms to gladden you
And, should his stay be brief,
You'll have his lovely memories
As a solace for your grief.
I cannot promise he will stay,
Since all from earth return;
But there are lessons taught below
I want this child to learn.
I've looked the whole world over
In search for teachers true;
And from the throngs that crowd life's land,
I have chosen you.
Now, will you give him all your love
Nor think the labor vain?
Nor hate me when I come to take
This lent child back again?"
I fancied that I heard them say:
"Dear Lord, Thy will be done.
For all the joys Thy child will bring
The risk of grief we'll run.
We'll shower him with tenderness,
We'll love him while we may.
And for the happiness we've known
Forever grateful stay.
But should Thy angel call for him
Much sooner than we've planned,
We'll brave the bitter grief that comes
And try to understand."

Welcome Home

I know you will be missing me
Now I am out of sight
But dry your silent tears lass
For I have found the light

I have this guardian angel
Who stands right by my side
And together we watch over you
Brimming with maternal pride

As a child I dried your tears
I chased away all your darkest fears
But that part of my life has now passed me by
I have no wings, yet still I can fly

I walked through that door they opened for me
Into a light so white, I had a job to see
And when my eyes got used to the light
For what I saw was sheer delight

For in a rather large group, waiting there
Were all the people for whom I care
A single voice said, ’welcome home’
You'll no longer need that skin and bone

See the spirit lives on, in a land with no crime
And you can visit your kin from time to time
And although they are sad now that you are gone
In memory and their thoughts you will live on

So you see my child, not one more tear
For where I am, there is no fear
Just think of me and I will be there
Amidst your memories
that we still share.

A mother’s love goes on and on…

May it make your sorrow
Easier for you to bear
Knowing there are others
Who understand and care.

Sympathy Poems Verses

May knowing you're
in the hearts and thoughts of others
help you and yours
through this time of sorrow.

**

Extending deepest sympathy
For you in your loss.
And hoping, too,
That comfort and peace
May come to you.

**

This comes to say
That many thoughts,
Sincere as they can be,
Are going out to you today
In Deepest Sympathy

**

Today you feel very much alone but
There is always someone who;
Will be able to touch your heart as
They've been through it all just like you.
