God Bless Our Native Land
God bless our native land,
Land of the newly free,
Oh may she ever stand
For truth and liberty.
God bless our native land,
Where sleep our kindred dead,
Let peace at thy command
Above their graves be shed.
God help our native land,
Bring surcease to her strife,
And shower from thy hand
A more abundant life.
God bless our native land,
Her homes and children bless,
Oh may she ever stand
For truth and righteousness.

To those we have loved and lost
Unto this thing that we call warfare;
Brave and bold although we are never told
Courage can be over just as soon as it's there.

Tools of the trade are not forgiving
Against them there is little chance;
But over and over our boys go out there
And with the devil dance!

Your old men shall dream dreams,
your young men shall see visions,
and where there is no vision the people perish.

We remember them how they used to be
Not lost in some faraway place;
They were doing what they felt best
Never again to see their face.

Their presence filling the very air
Their laugh gurgling like a stream;
The only place we can be with them
Is at night in a warm filled dream.

They will never age as we grow light and dim
Their strength and bravery never forgot;
As each anniversary comes round and round
The memory of them we will never blot!!

Many a good man lost to the dust
A husband, father son;
A brother to those he served
Many good deeds left undone.

Daughters and wives are going now too
Their children are left behind;
It's so sad families blown apart
That fateful contract; the one they signed.

Prepared to pay that sacrifice so great
The one that tops them all;
The one taking them away from us
Because they took that call.

Our shores and skies are safe they say
I know it's at great price;
I wish we could all stop fighting though
Leaving faraway this warlike vice
