I woke up this morning
Thinking that you were still around;
But I was only dreaming
You're nowhere to be found.

I looked over at your pillow
To see this empty space;
You were my reason for living
Now there's just this empty place.

My heart feels cold and empty
Except when I'm thinking about you;
I hold you in my arms again
I kiss you once again too.

The memories of our love
Are so strong in my heart;
My memories are now my reason
And inside we will never part.

When heaven calls me
I'll be there in a jot;
I will have missed you forever
I will be there on the dot!

I never gave you the stars that shine
I never gave you the moon;
But I gave you the most precious thing
My truest love on that day in June.

We were so very happy but
Now you've gone for good;
You really wanted to stay
But I knew you never could.

Cancer came between us
But it won't stay that way;
As I will be by your side
In Heaven on another day

Love you Forever

It seems so long ago now dear
The skies were overcast;
The chills ran up and down my spine
The doctors here at last!

The dreams we shared to gether
Were drifting far away;
They were going to be denied us
Forever and a day

One day I will fall into your arms again
Just like I did that night;
I tripped and then swooned
As you caught me with delight.

I can still see the sparkle in your eyes
The grin on your cheeky boyish face;
If ever two were made for each other
Then on that day we were in the right place.

I always took for granted,
what I thought I'd never lose.
Because I never thought it would happen,
until I heard the dreaded news.

They say you were chosen for his garden,
His preciously hand picked bouquet.
God really needed him,
That's why he couldn't stay.

Saying goodbye is never easy,
It's the hardest thing to do.
But what hurts me even more
Is not the chance to say it to you.

So today, Jesus, as you are listening
in your home above;
Would you go and find my dad,
And give him all my love!

Epitaph upon a child that died

Here she lies, a pretty bud,
Lately made of flesh and blood:
Who as soon fell fast asleep
As her little eyes did peep
Give her strewings, but did not stir
The earth that lightly covers her.
Robert Herrick

Our little one is living up in heaven
She still is growing still;
Her soul lives on and she knows
We love her and always will.
