Father, the death of (name) brings an emptiness into our lives
We are separated from him/herand feel broken and disturbed.
Give us confidence that he/she is safe
and his/her life complete with you,
and bring us together at the last
to the wholeness and fullness of your presence in heaven,
where your saints and angels enjoy you for ever and ever.
Amen

A slip of the tongue brings you to mind
Or a song played on the radio;
I find it hard the Never part
I'm just so full of sorrow.

I'm so glad we had that time
To say things we never thought we would;
I nearly choked about that
When you said we should!

You will always be alive
Right in the middle of my heart;
There are times within my dreams
I know we'll never really be apart.

God be in my head
and in my understanding,
God be in my eyes
and in my looking,
God be in my mouth
and in my speaking,
God be in my heart
and in my thinking,
God be at mine end
and at my departing.

May God now hold you in his arms
Forever there keep safe;
Until the day that I come too
You can meet me at the gate.

I will look for you if you don't
There's no getting away from me;
I know the vows say till death us do part
We will grin from ear to ear with glee!

Your mates from work they miss you too
They're all standing here right now;
To say a prayer and lift a glass
To you they make their vow.

They will plumb and electrocute
Any house hold crimes;
So they will care for me and the kids
Helping us through this time.

So I remember all the good times
And how we were so very blessed;
Goodnight my love and sleep well
You've been so ill and need a rest.

She/he was among life's precious jewels
So genuine and rare;
She/he was my very best friend
And no-one else can compare.

They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more;
neither shall the sunlight on them, nor any heat.
for the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne
shall feed them,and shall lead them unto living
fountains of water; and God shall wipe out every tear from their eyes.
Revelation; 7:16-17

The sky is filled with Angels
With puffy lacy wings
The remnants of God's beauty
With treasures they now bring
Each one of them a Guardian
That travels in the sky
To watch throughout eternity
Their parents from on high
Smiles that come from Angels
They fall like crystal rain
Eases earthly burdens
Lifting all life's pain
Halos so astounding
That glitter gold each day
Following their loved ones
In such a perfect way
Wings in gentle breezes
That fall from up above
Kissing every parent
With everlasting love
Angels soar through heaven
With everlasting light
Looking down from heaven
Saying their "goodnights"
Kissing all who loved them
So gently on the face
This life's tender mercy
Each parent can embrace
Wings and shiny halos
Travel from on high
Surrounding all their loved ones
They never say good-bye.
