There has been many a time
When I should've said;
I love you more than words can say
Having a cuddle in your bed.
Those special quiet times
That were just for you and me;
Cuddling up to keep nice and warm
When I was only three.
I'm now to big but let me say
Those times I'll not forget;
We forged a bond as families do
You love the peace now; on that I'll bet.

I was reading the above and I must say
Just for once I totally agree;
That this definitely applies to you
When you gave birth to me.
You have been the epitomy of love and kindness
Your wisdom knows no bounds;
You've mended broken toys, knees and hearts
Most of all, you've always been around.
There to hold me, there to hug
There to tell a story;
Whenever I have needed you
Today you stand in Glory!
Successful you have been
Standing me on my own two feet;
Turning me into a human being;

My dearest Mom, where would I be
Without your loving care;
I dread to think
What I would do if you weren't there!!

If I stack all the thank you's that you deserve
They'll reach right to the moon;
I'll be there for you always mom
I'll get a job real soon.
So that I can help you out
As you've always done for me;
I'll show you how much I appreciate
All you've done! You'll see!
So hugs and kisses come your way
They'll have to do right now;
I know the girls both love you too
We'll see you later anyhow.

You're a friend on whom I can depend,
I can't remember choosing you
But God knew what to do;
For me to be the best I can
He chose you for my mam!

You were there when we took our first steps,
And went unsteadily across the floor.
You pushed and prodded: encouraged and guided,
Until our steps took us out the door...
You worry now "Are they ok?"
Is there more you could have done?
As we walk the paths of our unknown
You wonder"Where have my children gone?"
Where we are is where you have led us,
With your special love you showed us a way,
To believe in ourselves and the decisions we make.
Taking on the challenge of life day-to-day.
And where we go you can be sure,
In spirit you shall never be alone.
For where you are is what matters most to us,
Because to us that will always be home...
