I know that this will break your heart
But you know this can never be;
We've tried and tried to make it work
But this is the end of you and me.

Love shouldn't be like this
It should come quite easy;
As you cope with life together
I know to you this sounds cheesey.

The battles should be with the outside world
Not with us here inside our home;
We can't agree on anything
But I'm not going to moan.

So its the big goodbye my love
We should have waited longer;
Before tying the knot
Maybe we'd have been stronger.

Please take all my pain away from me,
Leave my heart and set me free.
Help me make the moves I must
As my love now burns to dust.
This know that binds out hearts
But now it is time to part.
The ties that link us have now faded
But let our affection remain unjaded.
I release you. Our love is at an end.
But please forever be my friend.

It feels like I've lost a limb
As you're my other half;
I feel totally lost
And that again I will never laugh!

You've run off with my heart
And also all my money;
I thought you really loved me
Is that why you called me honey!

You took the hard earned cash I had
Without all the hard work behind;
What did you think I'd say
Oh Darling! Never mind!

The fraud squad is on your tail
This is not just a woman spurned;
This is one with nothing left to lose
I want back what I have earned.

As for my heart it will heal in the end
Otherwise I'll stay on my own;
Right now I've got things to think about
Like how do I get to keep my home.

There will always be a place in my heart
You will always be a part of my life;
It's just that I don't feel right
That you become my wife.

I haven't been deceitful
I just haven't been true to my own heart;
As courage deserted me when things got out of hand
I should have told you from the very start.

The doubts have been there a long time now
So I know it's not just the jitters;
I know the hurt and unhappiness
Will fade, and right now that's all that matters.

Two pebbles on a beach
Either pebble, either end,
One pebble in the roughest rocks,
One pebble on the golden sand.
When the tide comes washing in,
Picking up the pebble by force.
Washing it dowmn the beach,
Depositing on the rocks of course.

The pebbles sit side by side,
waiting upon the next strong tide
But mix with move and chemistry
Two pebbles from the same blue sea.
The pebbles feel a special link,
These pebbles float and did not sink.
Then just as the two were getting on
Along came the tide and moved one along.

It is time for us to part
Our love has become faded;
It hasn't stood the test of time
It has become quite jaded.

**

Our chapter together has come to an end
It was great at the very first;
But it dried up later on
And hasn't quenched our thirst.
